FlightScope Mevo Gen2, Mevo+ & X3C

FlightScope's Mevo line is the no-subscription mid-range: the Mevo Gen2 ($1,299) carries 20 parameters and a built-in camera, and two one-time software add-ons — the Pro Package (full club delivery: path, face to path, face to target, dynamic loft, swing planes, low point) and Face Impact Location — take it to fitting-grade depth. The Mevo+ it replaced is discontinued but fully supported. The X3C is the professional unit: 50 parameters, nothing gated, and outdoor tracking all the way to landing.

Best for: Golfers who want measured club data without a yearly fee, and who practise outdoors as much as in — plus MyFlightScope's clean CSV export.

Which numbers are measured — and which are computed

Every launch monitor computes some of what it shows. A carry distance is a trajectory model run on measured launch numbers; a smash factor is one measurement divided by another. Knowing which is which tells you how much to trust a change — and it is what ShotIQ's import gateway uses to decide which analyses to switch on for your sessions.

M = measured directly by the device · Mo = modelled from measured launch conditions · D = derived from two other metrics · C = a label the device assigns · E = estimated · — = not offered. Superscripts refer to the notes below.

• ¹ Indoors and at limited-flight ranges, accurate spin needs metallic-dot stickers on the ball or Titleist RCT balls; outdoors it is measured from the flight.
• ² Face Impact Location is a separate add-on for Mevo Gen2 and Mevo+ (not X3C); needs at least 300 lux at the ball.
• ³ Outdoors the X3C tracks the ball to landing; indoors those become modelled like everyone else's.

Spin, balls and stickers

Spin: Measured from the flight outdoors. Indoors put a metallic sticker on the ball or use Titleist RCT balls — FlightScope requires one or the other for accurate indoor spin; sessions without them are best read as patterns.

Club data: Club speed and attack angle are standard; the Pro Package (one-time, no subscription) adds path, face to path, face to target, dynamic loft, swing planes and low point — the full D-plane. FlightScope reports 'face to target' and 'face to path' rather than a single 'face angle'; ShotIQ maps both. Face Impact Location adds strike position.

Subscription: None recurring. Pro Package ($599) and Face Impact Location ($299) are one-time software purchases per unit ($850 together).

Space and setup

• Mevo Gen2 / Mevo+: 8 ft directly behind the ball and at least 8 ft of ball flight to the net (7–8 ft behind is the common working range); X3C: 9–14 ft behind for full swings.
• Outdoors: 8 ft to the tee with unrestricted flight; FlightScope wants 25+ yards of flight for full tracking.
• Face Impact Location: at least 300 lux in the hitting area, comfortably more within a 3 ft radius.

How accurate is it?

FlightScope quotes the Mevo Gen2 'within 1% of the Foresight GCQuad and TrackMan 4'. As with every radar, the measured numbers are speeds, launch and spin; carry, apex and landing are computed from them indoors. Don't mix indoor and outdoor sessions when judging a change.

How to get your data into ShotIQ

MyFlightScope (web)

1. Sign in at myflightscope.com.
2. Open Data → FS Mevo Golf (or your device) and pick the session.
3. Click Export (top right) and choose CSV.
4. Upload the file to ShotIQ → Know Your Game → Add a session. ShotIQ recognises FlightScope exports by name and by the Flight Time column.

Format: CSV, one row per shot, every parameter your package includes — Exports carry the club NAME you assigned, not a club type — name clubs consistently in the FS Golf app.

FS Golf app

1. Sessions sync to MyFlightScope automatically; the app itself shows the shot table — screenshot it if you are mid-range.

Tips

• The Pro Package is the best money in the range for diagnosis — it is what turns 'it leaked right' into 'face 3° open to path'.
• Use the same handful of RCT balls indoors and keep them clean; the sticker route works too but shifts with every swap.
• Put the club name you actually use in the FS Golf app (e.g. '52°' not 'Wedge') — that name is what the CSV carries.

Does ShotIQ support the FlightScope Mevo Gen2 and Mevo+?

Yes — a dedicated parser for the MyFlightScope CSV and screenshot reading for the FS Golf app. Bag, dispersion, gapping, coaching and the caddie run on every Mevo; Impact Lab opens fully with the Pro Package or an X3C.

Do I need the Pro Package?

Not for distances, gaps, dispersion or spin. You need it for club path, face to path/target, dynamic loft, swing planes and low point — the numbers that explain WHY a shot curved. It is a one-time purchase, no subscription.

Does the Mevo+ still work now it's discontinued?

Fully. FlightScope still sells the Pro Package and Face Impact Location for it, MyFlightScope still exports, and ShotIQ reads the same file.

How do I get spin indoors?

Metallic-dot stickers on the ball or Titleist RCT balls. Without them indoor spin is unreliable and the carries that depend on it are best read as trends.

Does FlightScope measure face angle?

It reports face to target and face to path (Pro Package / X3C). Together they are the same information as face angle; ShotIQ maps them directly.

What is Face Impact Location?

A $299 add-on for Mevo Gen2 and Mevo+ that reports where on the face you struck the ball (lateral, vertical, heat map). It needs at least 300 lux and is often the hidden reason behind erratic smash factor and spin.

Where's the CSV export?

myflightscope.com → Data → your device → session → Export → CSV. There is no export inside the phone app itself.

Mevo Gen2 vs X3C?

The X3C measures everything with no add-ons, tracks the ball to landing outdoors and costs ten times more. For home practice the Gen2 with the Pro Package covers what ShotIQ needs.
