ShotIQ Learn/📱 Launch Monitors & Sims
Full Swing KIT
The Full Swing KIT is a radar unit with a built-in 1080p camera and an OLED screen that reports 16 data points — including face angle, face to path, club path, attack angle and dynamic loft — indoors or out, with no paywall on the metrics. Its club-delivery numbers are radar-derived, so read them as patterns; the ball data is strong. Sessions live in the Full Swing app; per-shot CSV export is not consistently available, so ShotIQ reads KIT sessions mostly from screenshots.

Best for: Golfers who want video and data in one unit at mid-tier money, for practice feedback and GSPro / E6 play rather than fitting.

Which numbers are measured — and which are computed
Every launch monitor computes some of what it shows. A carry distance is a trajectory model run on measured launch numbers; a smash factor is one measurement divided by another. Knowing which is which tells you how much to trust a change — and it is what ShotIQ's import gateway uses to decide which analyses to switch on for your sessions.
| Metric | KIT |
|---|---|
| Ball speed / launch angle / horizontal angle | Measured |
| Spin rate / spin axis | Measured¹ |
| Club speed | Measured |
| Club path / face angle / face to path | Measured² |
| Attack angle / dynamic loft | Measured² |
| Smash factor | Derived |
| Carry / total / side carry / side total | Modelled |
| Apex height | Modelled |
M = measured directly by the device · Mo = modelled from measured launch conditions · D = derived from two other metrics · C = a label the device assigns · E = estimated · — = not offered. Superscripts refer to the notes below.
- ¹ Radar-measured from the flight; indoors with limited flight, spin is derived from the launch window.
- ² Published as data points; radar-derived club delivery — session patterns, not per-swing certainty.
Spin, balls and stickers
Spin: Radar; no special balls. Outdoors give it 30+ yards of flight for its best spin and carry reads.
Club data: Six delivery metrics from radar. Useful for direction of miss over a session; ShotIQ presents them with the same 'pattern' confidence it gives other radar-derived club data.
Subscription: None on the 16 metrics. Full Swing Golf simulator software is a subscription; GSPro and E6 Connect connect directly.
Space and setup
- Indoors: 8–10 ft of ball flight to the net and 8–10 ft behind the ball for the unit.
- Outdoors: 10 ft behind the ball. Calibrate before each session.
How accurate is it?
Full Swing cites tour testing and a 30-day guarantee rather than error bars. Ball speed, launch and carry track reference units well; club delivery is the softest part.
How to get your data into ShotIQ
Full Swing app (iOS / Android)
- Open the session in history and use the share / export control if your app version offers a data file.
- Otherwise screenshot the shot list and upload the images to ShotIQ → Add a session → Choose Screenshots, declaring Full Swing KIT.
- A CSV, when available, imports through ShotIQ's generic column mapper — the KIT's headers (Ball Speed, Club Path, Face to Path…) map automatically.
Format: Screenshots (AI read); CSV via generic mapping when available — Detailed per-shot CSV for third-party tools has not been consistently available.
What lights up in ShotIQ
Runs in full
- Bag, gaps, dispersion, trends, coaching, Wedge Matrix, caddie, CourseIQ for GSPro/E6 rounds
Partial — shown with its real confidence
- Impact Lab: face/path/attack shown as radar-derived patterns
- Indoor spin: the app export carries no measured/estimated flag — note it on the session and the coach reads it accordingly
Stays off — the hardware doesn't measure it, and ShotIQ never guesses a number it wasn't given.
- Strike location
Tips
- Sync sessions to the cloud app before screenshots — the on-unit screen shows one shot at a time.
- Outdoors, let it see 30+ yards of flight.
Frequently asked questions
Does ShotIQ support the Full Swing KIT?
Yes, through screenshots of the Full Swing app's shot list (and a CSV when the app provides one). Carries, dispersion, coaching and the caddie all run on KIT data.
Does the KIT measure face angle?
It reports face angle, face to path, path, attack and dynamic loft, derived from radar. ShotIQ shows them as session patterns rather than per-swing certainties.
Is there a subscription?
Not for the metrics. Full Swing's own simulator software is subscription-based; GSPro and E6 Connect work directly.
