How to do it
- Step a few balls into the sand so they sit half-buried
- Square or slightly close the face, swing steeply and hit 1 inch behind
- Expect rollout - the ball comes out low with no spin from a buried lie
- Practice 5 buried, 5 downhill-in-bunker - the two scariest short game shots
Pro tip: From a buried lie there is no spin - plan for the ball to run out

This drill moves Escape rate. A drill without a measured before/after is a feeling, not a fix: hit a baseline block, do the drill, re-measure the same block.
