🎯 Scoring Windows
What every yardage in your range is actually worth.
What it does
Scoring Windows answers one question for every distance you can face: what club would you hit, and how close would you finish? It needs no target session. It takes each club's real shot cloud, moves the pin to the distance in question and measures where those same shots would have landed — the dispersion is measured, only the pin is hypothetical. The club that wins a yardage is the one with the smallest expected LEAVE, not the nearest carry, so a club four yards closer that sprays twice as wide loses. It also names the yardages nothing in your bag reaches, and the exact number inside each band you are weakest from.
When to use it
Before a round, to know which numbers you own and which you don't; after a few uploads, to see what the bag actually covers; and any time a gap flag appears on Home.
Where to find it: Open Scoring Windows — it opens as a sheet over whatever you are looking at.
How to use it
- Open it from Home (the Scoring Windows row under your bag), the Know hub, or My Bag › Scoring.
- Read the ladder top to bottom: each row is a distance band with the club you would hit and the leave you would expect.
- Tap a row for the exact yardage inside it you are weakest from, and which club covers each number.
- If you have target sessions, tap Add target sessions to put what you actually scored beside what your pattern predicts.
What you'll see
- An orange dashed row — no full swing in your bag reaches that band. That is a hole in the bag, not a bad swing, and no amount of practice closes it.
- A white tick on a bar (with target sessions on) — what you actually scored, sitting beside the prediction. They are never averaged together: the distance between them is the finding.
- Elite · Sharp · Fair · Work — the same proximity scale Target Lab uses, so one leave means one thing across the app.
Tips
- Every expected number is the floor, not the forecast: it assumes you pick the right club and aim at the flag. Real golf adds lies, nerves and decisions, so your scoring leave will be longer.
- A wedge being asked for 10+ yards less than it carries is a partial swing, not a full one — the card offers the Wedge Matrix, which measures those properly.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from Target Lab?
Target Lab scores the distances you deliberately practised at, because it needs a declared target to measure against. This covers your whole scoring range from every shot you have ever uploaded, including the distances you have never practised. Turn target sessions on and the two sit side by side.
Why does it say I can't reach a yardage I play all the time?
It reads full swings. If you cover 55 yards with a partial wedge, no full swing in the bag reaches it — which is true, and worth knowing. With target sessions on, the row shows what you actually scored there.
My predicted leave looks too good.
It is meant to. It is what your dispersion allows if you choose the right club and aim at the pin, which is the best case. The gap between it and your measured leave is the part that is about decisions, lies and nerves.
