🧮 Wedge Matrix & Guided Calibration

🎯 Get BetterNeeds an uploaded session

Every wedge at 50/75/100% — measured carries inside 130 yards.

What it does

The Wedge Matrix is your scoring-zone distance system: a grid of wedges × swing lengths, each cell a measured carry with its range, dispersion and a confidence band. Fill it three ways — fold in wedge shots you already uploaded, upload a range session and declare the block structure, or run a Guided Calibration that sets the intended swing before each block so every shot is a trusted read. Calibrated 100% carries flow into your bag with a 🎯.

When to use it

Once to build it, then whenever a wedge number feels off or you change a wedge.

Where to find it: Open the Wedge Matrix — it opens as a sheet over whatever you are looking at.

How to use it

  1. Open it from Home (Open Wedge Matrix →), the Better hub Practice Status card, or Practice Lab › Performance Lab.
  2. Choose your wedges and the swing lengths, then pick a fill method.
  3. Guided Calibration: hit each block (e.g. 52° at 75%), mark any mishit, accept or repeat the block, move on. Resume any time.
  4. Read the grid: the number is your carry, the band its confidence. Tap Best for the most reliable cell.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use it on the course?

Yes — the caddie reads the matrix with its provenance, so it knows 85 yards was an intended 75% swing.
