🥅 Putting Lab
🎯 Get BetterNeeds a phone video
Film a stroke; get tempo, rhythm and repeatability — and what to practise.
What it does
Putting Lab analyses your stroke from video. Stroke mode works on a mat or carpet and reads mechanics only; Performance mode on a green adds speed and hole result when the camera can measure them confidently. You set the intended distance as a calibration target, follow the camera checklist, record, and get a read with the drill to run next.
When to use it
Indoors in winter, or when three-putts are the scoring leak the Game Plan names.
How to use it
- Pick Stroke or Performance mode.
- Choose the distance you are practising (5–40 ft or custom).
- Set the camera: landscape, 6–8 ft behind the ball, 8–12 in above the surface, ball and whole putter visible. Tap Continue to Recording →.
- Record a few strokes; read tempo, stroke shape and consistency, then tap through to the putting drills.
What you'll see
- Everything the camera cannot measure confidently is shown as not measured — it never guesses a speed.
Tips
- Free plan: 2 analyses. Overhead framing is deliberate — it is what makes the read reliable.
