Step-Through Power Drill
🚀 DrivingIntermediate2 sets of 8 swings
What it fixes: Ground force and weight transfer for distance.
How to do it
- Set up normally, then pull your lead foot back to your trail foot
- Start the backswing, and as you transition, step toward the target with your lead foot
- Let the step pull your hips open before the club comes down
- Hit the ball after the step lands - it forces correct sequencing
Pro tip: The step happens DURING the downswing, not before it
Watch it in your data
This drill moves Club speed — track it session to session with the Club Head Speed guide open. A drill without a measured before/after is a feeling, not a fix: hit a baseline block, do the drill, re-measure the same block.
Why this works: the mechanics behind it are explained in Rotation & Weight Shift — The body's engine — pressure moves first, rotation delivers.
