Over-the-Top Fix — Pump & Drop
🔧 Ball-Flight FixesIntermediate3 sets of 6 balls
What it fixes: Shallow the downswing so you stop coming across the ball.
How to do it
- Take the club to the top, then pump it halfway down twice, feeling the trail elbow tuck to your side
- On the third, start down with the lead hip clearing while the club drops behind you
- Set a headcover just outside/behind the ball — swing so you never touch it coming down
- Hit balls with the club approaching from the inside and exiting out to right-field
Pro tip: Feel: the lower body starts down first and the trail elbow leads into your side — the handle drops 'into the slot' before the arms fire.

This drill moves Club path / side carry — track it session to session with the Club Path guide open. A drill without a measured before/after is a feeling, not a fix: hit a baseline block, do the drill, re-measure the same block.
