Fat & Thin Fix — Forward Low Point
🔧 Ball-Flight FixesBeginner3 sets of 10 shots
What it fixes: Ball-first contact by moving your low point ahead of the ball.
How to do it
- Spray foot powder or draw a chalk line across your stance through the ball
- Set ~60% of your weight on the lead foot and keep it there — don't hang back
- Make swings so the divot STARTS at the ball and runs toward the target, never behind it
- Build from half swings to full, keeping the strike ball-then-turf
Pro tip: Feel: sternum stacked over or just ahead of the ball, pressure in the lead heel — brush the grass AFTER the ball.

This drill moves Strike / low point — track it session to session with the Strike Location guide open. A drill without a measured before/after is a feeling, not a fix: hit a baseline block, do the drill, re-measure the same block.
Why this works: the mechanics behind it are explained in Low Point — Where your swing bottoms out — the difference between pure and fat.
